The Church of the Nazarene in Olathe needed repairs to its facility’s roofs. The multi-building complex had some unique challenges, as different sections used a variety of roofing materials. The leadership found it especially difficult to find a roofing company that had the expertise to join different types of roofs using manufacturer-approved methods while keeping all of the sections impervious to leaks. Some sections had difficult transitions or flashing points, some had to join unlike materials, and others required specialized foam insulation.

To update the old building covering, Christian Brothers Roofing used TPO manufactured by GAF to completely replace some of the sections. TPO, also known as flat roofing, is energy efficient and weather-resistant. Christian Brothers Roofing chose 60 mil thickness Everguard Extreme TPO which lasts twice as long when exposed to UV rays when compared to standard TPO of the same thickness.
